Q: Which would you choose? Solar or Wind energy. Wind energy is infinite and so is Solar. Though wind energy takes energy out of the wind which can consequentially slow down winds around the world, creating climate change. Solar energy is efficient but may cost a fortune. Which would you choose?
A: What about using the animal wastes (gobar gas plants), night soil (any vegetable wastes for that matter) etc to generate gas for the stoves.. ? Wood is the cheapest renewable energy and smokeless chulahs (ovens) could be used to burn the wood scrapes.. at least in the rural side to start with.. (unfortunately the LPG is getting popular even among the ruralites)! bio diesel from wild castor etc could be produced by raising the plants in the wastelands that abound alongside the rail tracks etc granite mortar and pestle, grinder etc could be revived both to save energy as well as to give excercise to the family members who go to the gym to work with unproductive gadgets.. if there is a will, 100 alternatives would emerge and nature always rewards those who seek its favours sincerely..!
