Q: It is a common issue to relative our society,Give more specifics details for this topic. Thank you ^^
A: The positive, we are more aware of other cultures and we have a greater variety of products available to us. When a person moves to another area of the world they can often find products that they are familiar with. Resources can be shared. The negative, I'll start with how I see what it has done to the US. We are no longer self reliant. We depend on too many other nations to provide us with our basic needs, it has left us vulnerable. Very little of what we use or buy is actually grown or made in the Us. If South America decided to sell their food crops to China we would suffer a huge food shortage. If China shut down trade with us our retail markets would suffer great loss. Transporting all those items uses vast amounts of fuel and other resources and contributes to pollution and carbon emissions. We have shipped so much of our manufacturing to China and other countries so we won't have to abide by the EPA laws. The reason China's air quality is so bad is mostly the emissions from our dirty plastics factories and the coal burning plants that supply their energy. Moving all of our customer service jobs to India has had a negative impact on their families and traditions. Families no longer gather for meals, beacause they work odd hours. The young people who traditionally lived with their parents until marriage make enough money to move out, again breaking down what once was a close family unit. The wealth has created a "western" attitude toword luxury over necessity, debt and excess, dismanteling core religious values.
