A: I believe the correct term now is "climate change", which is really caused by "global warming", but scientists like to be special. Global warming in this case refers to the increase in temperature of the earth's atmosphere due to increased green-houses gasses, such as carbon dioxide. These gasses are being wrapped around the planet like a blanket, keeping the heat in.
