Q: can the person who was feeding it regularly be held accountable at all? the deer bound out in front of my b/f on his motorcycle. tractor trailer in oncoming lane, swerving not an option. had nothing to do but brake and hope. heard that the deer had been being fed by local resident, maybe lessening it's fear of humans and cars. easy to see who has never hit one themselves!
A: If the food was placed within the right of way of the road, I suspect that a prosecutor could make a pretty good case. If the feeding was done on private land, probably not. But that's just a lay opinion.
